I'm not a horror person so I wanted something completely out of the box and this was a treat to play. Very atmospheric, sublimely skilful use of music to set the tone. The mundanity of the dish washing task really did allow the senses to be tricked into some of the scares (no spoilers) - again not easy to do, and very skilfully executed. Thank you :)
This was the second game in my video, and I gotta say this game definitely stood out from the others because its story had a lot of work put into it. Great job, will be looking forward to more like it!
The game is quite good, but I found the story a bit confusing. At the second ending I really didn't understand what just happened and who I was playing with anymore, or what happened to the main dude(James if I'm right). I really couldn't make any sense of it. But the game is still fun and a bit creepy.
I am not sure how to obtain the second ending I played it 3 times. The story is quite interesting it does take a bit to peice together the notes and visuals but when you do man is the story deep. I really enjoyed this game.
I got the second ending when I didn't get the knife. By not getting the knife, the flowers won't be there when the body disappears, then finally there won't be any pills in your room. So I think is the knife...

A great horror game that gave me the nostalgic, retro vibes. I'm not gonna lie, I had to go through the game a 2nd time to find that flashlight lmao. Other than that, I enjoyed the atmosphere. The scares weren't over the top, but I wouldn't have minded a jumpscare or too!
I liked this game, I found the game full of suspense, I only got scared at the end when the screen was white and an icon went up on the monitor I thought there was something coming out of the screen lolololololololol

This game is really good . I do wish the game saved in places so I didnt have to go and do the beginning all over again just to get the 2nd ending but overall really cool game ! Oh also the flash light took me forever to find lol
Fourth and final in the line up. Boy howdy. A little liminal, a little work sim. And a lot of wait what. Was that? Oh glob. Good build, not much in the way of jank. The multiple endings feel interesting. The cyclical aspects fun to think about. I really like how the liminal section play with tension, and dial up the weird slowly. Good Job, I'll have to dig into your other games some time.
This game was a blast. I couldn't really figure out the lore the game was trying to present, I guess the character killed a kid or something. I also didn't know how to achieve the second ending, but I think it may be unlocked after playing the game a few times. Great game, very well done!
So I've run into a sort of problem. I saw this game on this website, and thought it would be a cool game to record for my youtube channel. I love this type of slow build horror, doors closing on their own, lights flickering, odd voices in the dark, sounds. So, I have a Macbook Pro laptop. I downloaded the game, but when I opened it it brings up this pop up saying: "This application Lakefront Restaurant" cannot be opend." It was really annoying. I even double clicked, went into the package contents to the physical file, tried opening, and still same message. I tried using terminal to boot it up, permissions, system preferences and still says the same thing. Is there a way that I can just open it and play it?
This was a bar above the usual 'tidy away the trash' restaurant/convenience store type indie games out there - there was a subtle yet slow-build feel to proceedings, with a narrative that felt impactful to the player.
The mundane task of cleaning dishes with the occasional eerie phenomena occurring really kept the pace going - ratcheting up the tension.
The story itself was a little ambiguous to me - with the radio announcement I wasn't entirely sure whether a) the owner of the restaurant had some nefarious entanglement in proceedings. If so, would have been nice to see some notes from the owner as the game progressed. b) The main character killed the girl and had a second chance of redemption by saving the baby in the second playthrough? c) It was all in his head and his regret of losing a friend caused him to hallucinate the things happening in the restaurant.
Either way, I enjoyed my time at Lakefront Restaurant and hope you get a kick out of the vid ;)

This was great! I feel like you captured the PS1 - era level design quite well, with everything being weird and uncanny, but still realistic-ish.

It's tagged as being compatible with linux. There is no Linux compatible program in either files you uploaded.
